No. The Core and Commerce plans work great without it. You can enter weights manually or use your existing scale. The bundle is only required if you want label printing.

What if something breaks?
All hardware comes with a 1-year warranty. If something fails within the first year, we'll replace it. After that, replacement parts are available at cost.
